A saying goes, “I’d rather wear flowers in my hair than diamonds in my neck,” and while that doesn’t necessarily apply to me all the time (as I’d like to think I always wear an invisible crown…), it does apply to me this summer since gemstones aren’t really practical and blossoms in my hair probably are.
A major staple in my summer wardrobe would have to be anything white as it is the easiest color to wear to beat the heat. I was feeling in my own manic pixie dream girl world especially since I stumbled on this beautiful wall of bougainvilleas. Now I don’t know if you already know but I am obsessed with bougainvilleas and I am relentless in my pursuit of these flowers. Since the flowers only bloom during Spring/Summer seasons, I try to take advantage of having the chance to be photographed amongst them when I can.
Now I especially liked wearing this dress as it was easy, breezy and there was something so refreshing about the eyelet lace detail which screamed SUMMER. I felt like I was in some secret garden/ enchanted forest thus the need for a flower crown. In general, it was a great and laid back day when I wore this outfit which ended up being the perfect choice.
