Today Was A Fairytale

I wanted to find something of the beauty of myth that we’ve left behind,
carry its shreds before us all, so we could acknowledge it, somehow
bring it back to life. I wanted to delve back into that world that
cradled us when we were young enough to still touch it, when trolls
lived under creek bridges, faeries fluttered under mushroom caps, and
the Tooth Fairy only came once you were truly sleeping. I wanted to see
if enchantment was somehow still there, simply waiting to be reached.
When I felt my loss, I realized that if I could do anything in this
life, I wanted to travel the world, searching for those who were still
awake in that old dream time, and listen to their stories – because I had
to know that there were grownups out there who still believed that life
could be magical.
And in that moment I decided: I am going to find the faeries
and write my own fairytales.

Blog Feature: Oxygen Holiday 2011

I visited the Oxygen store at Glorietta 2 the other day to score some of the amazingLink finds from Oxygen’s Holiday 2011 Collection.

It was pure love! I had so many things I wanted (seriously)! But I decided to filter my choices and got leather-esque dresses with a mesh detail.

My Oxygen Picks—

The Oxygen Store has a hipster vibe. The interiors spell Rocker Chic which perfectly matches the feel and theme of the clothes on display. It was an outrageously hard rock look. The collection highlighted gray, black colors with serious leather panel details and mesh add-ons. It was so me in every way!!!!

I want candy!

As Sweet As Candy.

A very Katy Perry inspired rainbow dress, I decided to go all out Life Savers/ Rainbow Bright for our annual Christmas party at home with relatives. It was such a great night and I dressed quite appropriately for the VERY festive occasion. This dress, quite colorful and not at all subtle was of course on hold in my closet until I found a suitable occasion to wear it. And I’m glad I waited til this Christmas party!

As always, I contrasted the sweet sugary colors and tulle poufy-ness with studs to toughen up the look. I chose a studded belt from my brand Glitterati and studded Zara shoes. Added some punk and attitude by wearing hot pink socks under. Very Cyndi Lauper/ Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

And asw for the food…. so many treats…didn’t get to eat any though since I have allergies. I did have vino though and lots of it!!!! Haha!
