Lady in Red

Ruby Red.
(Dress: Glitterati | Shoes: Aldo | Pearls: Mikimoto)

Aside from having the LBD (little black dres) as a staple in my closet, there’s also this: THE LITTLE RED DRESS. I love red! Seriously! It is such a vixenish, Jessica Rabbit-esque shade to wear but when accessorized well, I think it can be pulled off elegantly. I wore this to a pre-Christmas party (the first of many) at our housewhere tons of food coma inducing food were served. Chose the right dress as it was festive and fun.

PS: Don’t you just love my two-faced aka bipolar shoes from Aldo? I love this pair…seriously…

Nylon Smile

Neon Crayon.
(Dress: Glitterati | Belt: Glitterati | Necklace: Glitterati | Shoes: DAS | Bag: Chanel)

It was quite an orange. coral, citrus hued night as we celebrated Look Magazine’s 3rd Anniversary over at the Rockwell Tent. I decided to go all out highlighter orange that night to stand out which backfired in a good way as everyone in my circle of friends decided to come in the same hue! It was so funny but orange seems to be quite the popular shade this season. The louder the better!

Anyway, this mullet dress is from Glitterati’s newest collection to be launched soon. I decided to belt it up with another studded Glitterati piece and chain necklace, again from my brand. I then debuted my heel-less DAS shoes which sent me floating mid-air in full geisha mode. It surprises me how I was able to stay upright and not fall at all (if you know me well, you’d know I defy the law of gravity) but this pair was quite comfortable. I credit fine craftsmanship and of course, year of ballet training for this skill.

Hypomanic.

MANIC|DEPRESSIVE: Inner Musings of a Bipolar Mind
(Disclaimer: I mean this in the fashion sense, before any violent reactions occur, I am referring to how confused and confusing me and my BFF’s theme was for the night when it came to our dresses, it was short/long, two-toned, etc. Just clarifying.)

Skirt: Glitterati | Mesh Top: Glitterati | Leather bustier: Glitterati | Belt: Grommet by Glitterati | Shoes Soule Phenomemon| Bag: Zara

Anyway, this is a long overdue outfit post as this was my take on “LUXE GRUNGE” which was the theme for the MANGO A/W 2011-2012 Fashion Show over at Resorts World. The theme was such and I reckon I went LUXE GLAM before considering incorporating GRUNGE into the look but I have to give myself credit for the metal detail wedged shoes (so sci-fi), the glittery metallic mesh top with leather bustier under and the studded major thick cinch waist belt. Naturally my favorite piece of the look was the skirt, which will be part of Glitterati‘s newest collection to be released soon. It was semi-short, semi-long… in other words, the best of both worlds as it was conservative and sexy depending which side you were viewing it from. Also part of the new collection is my bff Nina’s dress, which was also featured in MEGA’s September 2011 fashion editorial shot in Moscow Russia. Check it out.

PS: I am blogging from an old PC as my Toshiba and Acer laptops both decided to give up on me. I don’t care about the units anymore… I just need my hard drive and files back. There are about 7 lagged outfit posts there! SOB. Sorry for any spelling errors as I damaged the keyboard of this spare laptop by being very smart and putting my heated curling iron over it 2 years ago. (Technology fail, that’s the story of my life, so what’s new!)

Rock Dust Light Star

All the sinners are just saints, Without the sparks

I’m having trouble telling them apart

(Playsuit: Moonshine | Skirt: DIY | Shoes: Janilyn | Purse: Zara | Necklace: Cultus ChiChi)

Wore this to Bloggers night at KYSS where Lissa and I were hosting with The Zombettes (on their Dirty Blonde Tour) Mia Ayesa, Sanya Smith and Ornusa Cadness on the decks. As usual, I danced the night away, keeping my reputation as THE DANCING QUEEN wherever I go…It was a major FUN, EXHILIRATING and ENERGIZER BUNNY NIGHT and I loved hanging out with the girls and of course socializing with much loved bloggers and giving out SHOTS! I love how bloggers back here are all 100% support for each other, that definitely is a major plus as we all support each other rather than compete. Makes the industry a much better atmosphere to be in.

Anyway, the story to my look was because Lissa told me the theme for the night was backless. So there I decided to go as backless as possible— seriously how much lower can you go with this cut…only to find out she went all animal print and asymmetric on me. I love you still anyway babe! I wore a onesie (yes this is a onesie) and to keep things still semi covered up (my rule is always classy, never trashy), I layered on a sheer maxi skirt for effect. I always say, in fashion, it’s that extra half an inch you add that keeps it classy, never trashy! Hope it worked!

Lifeline- Jamiroquai

Rolling Down the sunny avenues Well… all this running around I’m back on the road with you again baby Free ride

I haven’t got a care in the world

There’s only me and you girl

Back on the road with you again baby Sweet life we’re holding onto this life

And all because you’ve saved me

Zero to hero that’s what you made me Lady, you know that she excites me

But her mama never liked me

I’m back on the road with you

again baby Don’t pick no hole in my soul

Don’t you spoil my sweet charade

I get high on the girl

For me she was clearly made And don’t get mixed up about it

’Cos she won’t leave me at sea

I get a groove with the girl

She got a lifeline out to me Deadlines…

We won’t be needing any of those

no more

It seems like the right time

To be back on the road with you

again baby I feel like…

I’ll never feel the cold now

I’ll never be alone now

’Cos I’m back on the road with

you again Don’t pick no hole in my soul

Don’t you spoil my sweet charade

I get high on the girl

For me she was clearly made I don’t need no destination ’Cos my baby’s saving me She got the lifeline of love she got it all thrown out to me
