Little Miss Sunshine for my 24th

Little Miss Sunshine.
Dress: Lanvin x H&M
Belt: Glitterati
Earrings: Forever21
Sunglasses: Charles and Keith
Bag: Fendi Vernice Matrix B-bag
Shoes: Online

For my official birthday, my family decided to treat me out for a “Champagne Brunch” at RED, Makati Shangril-la and I had the best meal ever, plus wine & bubbly of course. The dress, I got from H&M was divine and perfectly suited for the lunch, considering I haven’t been out officially to a social thing while the sun is out. I usually just do errands so I was quite confused as to what I was to wear. I decided not to use the belt and changed it with a studded one from my brand Glitterati to tweak the outfit a bit and also wore the one shoulder on the other side (this was accidental though as I was unaware I had it on backwards the whole time). Not to make the classic mistake of wearing a ruffled one shoulder with hair covering the detail, I commissioned my favorite maid, Armi to do a very summery boho braided bun to go with the look. Chose a contrasting pair of earrings (in turquoise) to veer away from the yellow and black and then wore my favorite black Fendi purse which was gifted to me 4 birthdays ago.

I had a blast on my 4-day birthday celebration. Capped the night off with friends and it was a perfect way to spend my day. 24 doesn’t seem so bad after all!

xx

Love burns brighter than sunshine…

The day was extraordinary. I woke up to a sunny and hot day, which is a rarity back here where rain and wind is plaguing us for the next 6 months. So I decided to dress accordingly and I had quite the sunny disposition… who wouldn’t in this gorgeous dress, right? I got the dress from my friend Lissa ’s brand, Love Vintage, which sells gorgeous vintage and thrifted pieces for quite a bargain! I love their current collection, as modeled by fellow Chictopian, fashion blogger and Glitterati muse, Kookie who rocked the pieces thus making me so tempted to buy… and buy (a lot) I did!

PURPLE REIGN.
My purple purse which matches my shoes perfectly were sponsored by my friend Audrey, who designs and manufactures these and more gorgeous designs. Get your hand on this awesome piece as it is sold under Parisian, in all SM Department Stores. I love how reasonably priced yet handy and fabulous her bags are!

It was definitely love at first wear…I adore the colors and print of the dress since the flowers are big and the purple blue hues are magical together. But what got me really head over heels for this was the sailor style collar and the huge buttons which were just phenomenal especially since nobody really makes details like that anymore. I went for purple and gray accessories to keep the look quite consisted and I resurrected my satin Nine West evening Mary Janes which have magenta and violet combined. I am so glad I didn’t throw these shoes or sell them since I forgot how comfy and useful they actually are! Wore them with socks to cute-ify the otherwise very elegant pair.To turn a Monday bright and shiny, dress bright and shiny. Cause sometimes all it really takes is the right outfit and the right shoes to rock the day! Haha!

A moment, a love, a dream aloud, a kiss, a cry, our rights, our wrongs…

I’ve been going on major dressing up mood wings recently and I can’t seem to decide which I love to wear more: top to toe black or brighter then sunshine colors. For this day, however, I guess the colors won and I decided to go for the major fruit punch tones of lemon yellow, raspberry red, strawberry pink and grape purple. It’s such a big change for me to wear an all out hued outfit with no basic color of black and white to neutralize the look (well except my gray socks but that doesn’t really count, I think)… but I was in such a colorful mode, I just had to show that in my outfit. Anyway, dressing up in all these colors seemed to make me extraordinarily cheerful and hyper today and it seemed that my look had somehow influenced my mood for the day as well. Seriously, not even the rain (which was so strong i caused some major flooding back here) seemed to ruin my parade! And I just need to say this: skittles seemed to be my peg! There’s nothing like an all out hued look to wake you up from a dark and twisty fashion coma.

Make life a little bit more interesting and punch it up by wearing eye popping colors and stand out in your own brilliant way…Life’s too short to blend in!

I always love dressing girly as ever whenever I go to our store cause it’s just so cute, I feel the need to dress accordingly to match the theme- which is girly and GLAM! I chose red accessories- like a polka-dotted tafetta bow hair clip, a red Vernis leather Louis Vuitton Alma purse and these strappy shoes from Michael Antonio from way back- to tie the look together as it was perfect with the red cardigan I got from Mango back when I was in 1st year college in 2004. I felt that I needed another bow somewhere so I used a bow shaped leather cuff which was perfect with the hair bow and the gray toned socks I decided to wear that day.

The Sunshine Underground

(MissBehavin’ in a bondage vest and suede wedged boots from Topshop, Tanktop from Mango, Louis Vuitton purse and Studded skinny denim jeans from Stylebreak)

I love the summer sun. Being a great summer enthusiast, I dread the rainy weather which is the daily situation back here in Manila and while I cannot force the sunshine back here, I can however pretend, thus the brighter than sunshine yellow wall background. I haven’t been wearing so much skirts and dresses the past week since I am almost always out and about but I do miss the frills and thrills so I might just again! On a busy Wednesday of major renovations and furniture installation, I opted for a black on black with hint of gray. These denim skinnies with studded patchwork were just so perfect to wear for such occasion as they are majorly comfortable (the denim was soft and not sandpaper-ish which I really really hate) and it fit me quite well. The key to perfect skinnies would be finding a pair that would fit like a glove and at the same time be comfortable enough to move, sit and run around in. This pair was pure perfection! I wore a basic tank top and jazzed that up with a cropped bondage vest from Topshop that I purchased months ago but only got to wear now. I realize now that I have a weird habit of forgetting things I buy and remember only after a long time has passed. I seriously need to improve that really bad habit.

A CLOSER LOOK:

(Rebel with a cause: leather, studs, metal zippers and bondage are key to a tough chick look)
I kept the accessories to a minimum. Wore my never failing LV Speedy in Epi Leather and my ultra comfy suede Topshop wedged booties, which I wore for around 12 hours without any leg or foot pain at all. Studded bangles helped me make the look more coherent as it matched the studded jeans and wore shield glasses to “glam” up the look a wee bit.

My day started super early. I visited Heima, a one of a kind furniture shop which is about 30 seconds away from my house located at the 2nd floor of the LRI Building along Nicanor Garcia Street in Makati. I got cute Victorian style photo frames and a silhouette canvass pillow accent from the store to put as decor in our upcoming Glitterati boutique. I’m coming back next week for this cute print that says, “Keep Calm and Carry On”, which according to my addiction to World War II and National Geographic was a motivational poster back in Great Britain during World War II to boost the morale of the people. I love it because the simple statement should be my mantra since I am quite the most tense and anxious person ever. A cute little daily reminder on my wall to wuu-saaa might be helpful to calm me down. Check out more of their stuff at www.heimastore.com
You won’t regret it, trust me!

Lastly, as promised here is a teaser shot of our store with me and my business partner taking time off to cam-whore galore after my day of intensive labor. We finally moved in all stocks and furniture and the store is finally about 95% done. We cannot wait to open this August! Stay tuned for that!
