The New Neutral

Nude09

I’ve been known for loud and bold colors when it comes to fashion choices but that hasn’t been the case recently as I have been gravitating toward more neutral color tones. I simply think that as we move through life, somehow, our fashion choices evolve along with our lifestyle and just as same, my life is less loud and “out there” and is more balanced, calm and peaceful.

However. contrary to popular opinion: neutral doesn’t always have to mean bland or boring. It can actually be pretty amazing especially if we add sophistication in the mix and the right amount of embellishment in the right places. I mean that in terms of this outfit and in terms of how I choose to live my life. Outfit-wise, while my fashion choices veer toward the more elegant, one thing I know for sure is that I can never quite give up tulle just yet. I started blogging on a strong note- being known for my loud and frou-frou tulle skirts and dresses but then I was 22 back then. Moving forward, 6 years and a whole lot of growing up later, my love affair for tulle continues but this time in form of an elegant tulle blouse with beautiful beaded detail just like in this ensemble.

When it comes to life… well, let’s just say I am more tranquil and serene about how I live it. Senseless issues and fruitless activities no longer interest me. I am unperturbed by the hullaballo and fuss that comes with being in this particular industry and choose to focus on things that actually make more sense to me. After all, at the end of the day. I have come to realize that “Your attachment to unhealthy people and bad habits, which offer you no real control, is why you’re spiritually dying and living a life out of balance.”
